Advanced Derma-Laser, conveniently located in midtown New York City, opened its doors for business in 1999. We serve in New York City, Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn, Staten Island and Bronx. Jennifer Kandemir, owner, Certified Laser Specialist and New York State licensed costmetologist, was originally introduced to laser hair removal from a consumer's vantage point. Jennifer wanted to have some hairs permanently removed and decided to invest $3,000.00 in a series of SoftLight laser treatments.
As laser history reflects, 100% of Jennifer's hairs grew back! Disappointed, but not daunted, Jennifer began researching laser hair removal. She kept abreast of every technological advancement; attended seminars, workshops, conferences and manufacturer demonstrations. Jennifer wanted to remove those hairs! Jennifer, a cosmetologist for 20 years, determined that current hair removal lasers were able to deliver permanent hair reduction. She attended and graduated from Rocky Mountain college as a certified laser specialist and decided to buy the Candela GentleLASE Plus™; in order to establish her own laser hair removal clinic, Advanced Derma-Laser.
First priority would be eliminating Jennifer's hairs. Advanced Derma-Laser added the Cutera CoolGlide™ laser to their arsenal. The CoolGlide, a long pulse ND:YAG, is able to effectively treat
the darkest skin types, including tanned skin! Jennifer, a type V on the Fitzpatrick Phototype scale, was a challenging test subject but treatments were successful and… here we are in 2006 with over 6,500 satisfied clients! Today, business is good. Technically open Monday thru Friday, 9am to 7pm, and Saturday, 9am to 6pm, Jennifer is frequently working as late as 9pm to accommodate her many clients. Jennifer, always one to accept a challenge, admits to being motivated daily to "prove the improbable" and eagerly waits for the disillusioned hair removal client who has previously spent money with little to no results. Advanced Derma-Laser personnel are never happier than when they are saying goodbye to a smiling, confident and hairless client. This year, 2006, Advanced Derma-Laser has added the newest Mini GentleLASE which is smaller, lighter and faster than previous GentleLASE models and also newest Cutera XEO base with laser genesis, Photo-Genesis, Titan and ProWave 770.
